Barry was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1975 and moved to Germany when he was nine. He has a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and received a scholarship for the screenwriting program Drehbuchwerkstatt 2006/2007 at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). Since then, among other film and TV projects, he has written the motion picture Emerald Green, the TV movie A Bitter Mix and episodes for the German crime series SOKO Leipzig.
