Mar­lene Mel­chi­or grew up all over the place before find­ing a home in the tran­si­ence of Ber­lin, where she com­pleted her M.A in Lit­er­at­ure at the Freie Uni­versität. Dur­ing her stud­ies Mar­lene cofoun­ded her own video pro­duc­tion com­pany, Milk It Films, and haphaz­ardly trained as a clas­sic­al clown. Mar­lene wrote and dir­ec­ted Big­heads an award win­ning web series about the lives of would-be artists in Ber­lin. She has worked in film, radio and TV devel­op­ment in the US and Europe and was also exec­ut­ive pro­du­cer and cor­res­pond­ent at NPR Ber­lin and KCRW Ber­lin. She cur­rently free-lances as a writer, video/podcast and audio book pro­du­cer for sev­er­al cli­ents includ­ing Hein­rich Böll Found­a­tion, Aud­ible and Net­flix.
