Anna Wing­er is the cre­at­or of the acclaimed TV series  Deutsch­land 83 and Deutsch­land 86. Her nov­el This Must Be the Place is pub­lished by River­head Pen­guin.Her essays have appeared in The NewYork Times Magazine, Con­dé Nast Trav­el­er and the Frank­furter Allge­meine Zei­tung.
