Laurent Mercier

After graduating from the European Conservatory of Script Writing (CEEA, Paris) in 2010, Laurent worked for three years as a freelance writer for French TV broadcasters (drama, soap, comedy) while also working on independent movies and documentary projects.

In 2014, he graduated from the first Serial Eyes programme. Since then, he has worked for several international coproductions, such as The Club (Arte), Raizan (Tellux, Iris), or his own series The Gamble, before co-writing the arcs and some episodes of the mini-series Eden (Arte, SWR). Laurent is co-writing the feature film Putains produced by Incognita Films, writes for Anne Landois’s new series Angle Mort (TF1) is completing Machines, a TV movie for France 2, and is developing his own mini-series Pour qu’ils reposent en paix (Calt Production), which has been awarded a grant from CNC.
