Seri­al Eyes atten­ded this year’s MIPTV mar­ket from 3 to 6 April 2017 in Cannes, France. Under the warm glow of the Medi­ter­ranean sun, the par­ti­cipants met key decision-makers in the inter­na­tion­al TV industry. In pre­par­a­tion for the trip, the par­ti­cipants had pre­vi­ously con­tac­ted pro­du­cers and broad­casters, and then used the time at MIPTV to present their pro­jects in a series of indi­vidu­al meet­ings with com­pan­ies such as Gaumont, Leone Films, Medi­aset, Net­work Movie, Sky­bound Pic­tures, and MBC, among others.

MIPTV was also the occa­sion to catch up with Seri­al Eyes fac­ulty, such as Atlantique Pro­duc­tions’ man­aging part­ner Jimmy Des­marais and showrun­ner Frank Spot­nitz. The lat­ter gave the par­ti­cipants some very use­ful advice for the fast-approach­ing Final Pitch on 11 May at Soho House Berlin.
Anoth­er high­light of the Cannes trip was the Ger­man MIP Cock­tail organ­ized by Medi­en­board Ber­lin-Branden­burg and Film- und Medi­en­stif­tung NRW. With over 400 guests present, the event was the per­fect occa­sion for meet­ing up with oth­er pro­fes­sion­als against the back­drop of a gor­geous coastal scenery.
