SE#3 Elena Lyu­barskaya & SE#6 Yashar Alishen­as win Co-Pro Pitches Award at Seriesly Ber­lin 2025!

What a week it was in Ber­lin! The Seri­al Eyes com­munity brought energy, cre­ativ­ity, and inspir­a­tion to the Seriesly Seri­en­fest­iv­al, leav­ing their mark across pitches, premi­eres, pan­els, and work­shops. From bold new pro­jects to award-win­ning moments, the Seri­al Eyes pres­ence was felt everywhere. 

Drishya Gau­tham (Alumna SE#11) and Nich­olas Che­vail­li­er (Alum­nus #11) presen­ted their pro­ject INDI/PENDENT, while Elena Lyu­barskaya (Aluma SE#3) and Yashar Alishen­as (Alum­us SE#6) wowed the audi­ence with THE LAST FAM­ILY ON EARTH — and cel­eb­rated a major suc­cess by win­ning the Co-Pro Pitches Award 2025. Ivan Knezevic (Alum­us SE#5) cel­eb­rated the fest­iv­al premiere of his power­ful drama ABSO­LUTE HUN­DRED, draw­ing audi­ences into an intense and emo­tion­al story. Bey­ond the screen­ings, the Seri­al Eyes team and alumni inspired fest­ival­go­ers with insight­ful talks and workshops.


Kat­rin Merkel (Head of Seri­al Eyes) joined Mar­lene Mel­chi­or for Talk to a Seri­al Eyes and hos­ted her dynam­ic work­shop Beat It! Elena Lyu­barskaya (Alumna SE#3) led Devel­op­ment Hell, offer­ing a deep dive into the chal­lenges of story devel­op­ment. Will Buck­ing­ham (Alum­nus SE#9) mod­er­ated the much-dis­cussed pan­el Ctrl+Alt+Delete: Rethink­ing TV in the Cre­at­or Age, spark­ing lively debate about the future of storytelling. From awards to premi­eres to thought-pro­vok­ing dis­cus­sions, Seri­al Eyes once again demon­strated its role in shap­ing the next gen­er­a­tion of European tele­vi­sion cre­at­ors. Ber­lin was buzz­ing with tal­ent — and the Seri­al Eyes fam­ily was at the heart of it.
