The episode showcases her ability to bring fresh perspectives to Germany’s most enduring crime drama franchise. She recently worked as assistant to headwriter for the high-profile mini-series PARALLEL ME, produced by Gaumont for Paramount Plus, deepening her experience for international serial storytelling. Annette’s writing credits include two episodes for the ZDF Neo dramedy series PUMPEN, as well as two episodes for both seasons of Germany’s instant fiction series LIEBE.JETZT, with Season 2 earning a prestigious Grimme Prize nomination. In 2019 her first 90 minutes TV Feature WILDE ZEITEN was aired in ZDFs primetime Sunday evening spot for ZDF Herzkino.

Annette’s creative foundation was built on a rich theatrical and performance background. Following her high school graduation, she received a scholarship to Robert Wilson’s celebrated Watermill Center in New York, followed by formative experiences in dramaturgy and assistant directing at Hamburg’s distinguished Thalia Theater. Shortly after her Acting Studies at Zurich University of the Arts and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts she started to work as script advisor on numerous European arthouse productions providing her with invaluable insights into character development and dramatic structure that now inform her distinctive writing style. She was a participant of Drehbuchwerkstatt Munich and Melbourne Directors Lab.

Annette’s sophisticated narrative style bridges arthouse sensibilities with mainstream appeal.

Her character-driven storytelling is always in service of understanding human interactions in this intricate story called life on earth.
