Last week, the Serial Eyes community came together in Brno for the Serial Killer Festival — an event full of recognition, premieres, workshops, and heartfelt moments. We were proud to see so many alumni and team members both leading and being celebrated, showing once again the power of storytelling, collaboration, and creative dedication.
Alumni Recognition and Premieres
- Ivan Knesevich (Alumnus SE#5) was honored with the Progressive Killer Recognition Award. His moving speech left a strong impression on the audience.
- Lukáš Sigmund (Alumnus SE#7), together with his producer, presented their new true-crime miniseries NEUER, adding a fresh narrative to the festival’s lineup.
- Barbora and Ivana Sujová (Alumnae SE#9) brought home top honors: their series Monyová won both the main competition and the Best Actress award — a stellar achievement for the SE#9 cohort.
Workshops, Insights and Representation
- Hanna Szentpéteri (Alumna SE#11) shared her expertise in a workshop and keynote on the Writer’s Room, offering deep insights into the collaborative processes behind writing for television.
- The program was proudly presented by Katrin Merkel (Head of Serial Eyes), supported by Elena Ljubarskaya (Alumna SE#3). Their joint presence underscored our mission and vision.
We could not be prouder of the entire Serial Eyes network — alumni, current participants, faculty, and friends. Events like the Serial Killer Festival are not just about awards, but about connections made, stories shared, and the creative community we continue to build together.
