What a week it was in Berlin! The Serial Eyes community brought energy, creativity, and inspiration to the Seriesly Serienfestival, leaving their mark across pitches, premieres, panels, and workshops. From bold new projects to award-winning moments, the Serial Eyes presence was felt everywhere.
Drishya Gautham (Alumna SE#11) and Nicholas Chevaillier (Alumnus #11) presented their project INDI/PENDENT, while Elena Lyubarskaya (Aluma SE#3) and Yashar Alishenas (Alumus SE#6) wowed the audience with THE LAST FAMILY ON EARTH — and celebrated a major success by winning the Co-Pro Pitches Award 2025. Ivan Knezevic (Alumus SE#5) celebrated the festival premiere of his powerful drama ABSOLUTE HUNDRED, drawing audiences into an intense and emotional story. Beyond the screenings, the Serial Eyes team and alumni inspired festivalgoers with insightful talks and workshops.
Katrin Merkel (Head of Serial Eyes) joined Marlene Melchior for Talk to a Serial Eyes and hosted her dynamic workshop Beat It! Elena Lyubarskaya (Alumna SE#3) led Development Hell, offering a deep dive into the challenges of story development. Will Buckingham (Alumnus SE#9) moderated the much-discussed panel Ctrl+Alt+Delete: Rethinking TV in the Creator Age, sparking lively debate about the future of storytelling. From awards to premieres to thought-provoking discussions, Serial Eyes once again demonstrated its role in shaping the next generation of European television creators. Berlin was buzzing with talent — and the Serial Eyes family was at the heart of it.
