Annika Cizek

Annika Cizek has been work­ing as a writer and pro­du­cer for series pro­duc­tions in Ber­lin since 2017 and is one of the found­ing mem­bers of the writ­ing and pro­duc­tion col­lect­ive Ant­hill Road Pro­duc­tions. Her cred­its as a writer include the com­edy series SCHWEST­ER SCHWEST­ER, BECK IS BACK and the mini-series FAK­ING HITLER, which was awar­ded the Ger­man Tele­vi­sion Award for Best Drama Series in 2022. KALT­START, a mys­tery TV show that she co-developed and co-wrote for Kika, won the WEIS­S­ER ELE­FANT Award in 2023. Her romance pro­ject FIND ME, the adapt­a­tion of a New Adult nov­el, was awar­ded the Seri­en­camp Writer’s Vis­ion Pitch Award in 2024.

Annika writes to make sense of what it means to be a human on this plan­et and loves to cre­ate char­ac­ters and stor­ies that con­nect with the audi­ence. For her it is all about the emo­tion­al rela­tion­ships that humans form with each other.
