Ioana Bog­dana

Ioana Bog­dana co-wrote and pro­duced the com­edy series IN THE CITY (2022) for the CEE VoD plat­form VOYO. She also worked in the devel­op­ment and pro­duc­tion depart­ment of art­house fea­tures ran­ging from Radu Jude’s DRAC­ULA (Loc­arno IFF 2025) and Alina Șerban’s I MAT­TER (Venice IFF 2026) to Olga Lucovnicova’s LAST LET­TERS FROM MY GRANDMA (Fest­iv­al dei Popoli 2025). She’s cur­rently in devel­op­ment with a his­tor­ic­al LGB­TQ+ series that she co-cre­ated, fun­ded by Cre­at­ive Europe-MEDIA. Besides film & TV, Ioana works on the fund­ing and man­age­ment of cul­tur­al, inter­dis­cip­lin­ary, and com­munity pro­jects. For eight years, she also organ­ised and cur­ated an inter­na­tion­al fest­iv­al of films and oth­er arts cre­ated by teen­agers, in Bucharest, Romania.

Ioana is an alumna of inter­na­tion­al pro­grammes such as MID­POINT Series Launch, Words Across Europe, Sara­jevo Tal­ents, etc. She gradu­ated from the Uni­ver­sity of the Arts Lon­don with first-class hon­ours and is a board mem­ber of the Romani­an Guild of Film & TV Scriptwriters.
