Laura Majava

Laura Majava is a screen­writer and script devel­op­ment exec­ut­ive at Yle, the nation­al broad­caster of Fin­land. Cur­rently, she is con­duct­ing a stra­tegic study to Yle on how social media is influ­en­cing and reshap­ing dram­at­urgy in drama series tar­geted at Gen­er­a­tion Alpha and Gen Z. She spe­cial­izes in mid-form and short-form drama, as well as in strategies for enga­ging youth audi­ences on social media.

She was cre­at­or of the Finnish teen drama ALPHA and cre­ated the drama series LINDA’S ROOM. Both were major hits in Fin­land and sold in the Nor­dics. In 2024, LINDA’S ROOM was a final­ist for Best Series Script by the Finnish Screen­writers’ Guild.
