Sander van Dijk

Netherlands

Sander van Dijk (1987) is a screenwriter and director based in Amsterdam. During his time at the Netherlands Film Academy, Sander directed multiple short films in his after-school hours, one of which was selected for the Netherlands Film Festival (SOLLICITATIE, 2014). He graduated in 2016 with the neo-noir sci-fi short DARK MACHINE. After directing several commercials, Sander co-wrote the mid-length feature DORMIS (2022) as part of an anthology series for Dutch streaming service Videoland. He also wrote and directed the short TABLE 8 (2022), which was selected for numerous international film festivals, including the Sedona International Film Festival, where the film was awarded the ‘Director’s Choice Award’.

Sander has been a great lover of film and TV series since childhood and particularly enjoys exploring the subconscious through the mystery genre. But whatever the case, Sander is hell-bent on taking the audience for a ride full of twists and turns they won’t soon forget.
