Shubhangi Mishra 

Shubhangi Mishra has been work­ing as a writer and cre­at­ive dir­ect­or for web-series in India since 2020. She is an alumna of the Film and Tele­vi­sion Insti­tute of India. Her cred­its include the award win­ning Net­flix series GUNS & GULAABS and the young adult dram­ed­ies PRIME­TIME WITH THE MURTHYS, KAR­ATE GIRLS and ARRANGED PATCH UP SEA­SON 2. She has also developed fea­ture films with prom­in­ent Indi­an pro­duc­tion houses, Dharma Pro­duc­tions and Abund­antia Entertainment.

Before work­ing as a screen­writer, Shubhangi’s storytelling jour­ney star­ted in col­lege where she worked with non­profits and chil­dren’s NGOs teach­ing kids the basics of storytelling and self-expres­sion. She then worked as a writer in advert­ising and radio.

Shubhangi is drawn to nar­rat­ives that explore the com­plex­ity of human beha­viour, the absurdit­ies, the humour, and the psy­cho­lo­gic­al nuances that make char­ac­ters unfor­get­table. She believes that stor­ies can bring us closer at best, help us under­stand each oth­er at the very least, or, if noth­ing else, make awk­ward small talk entertaining.
