Daniela Baumgärtl

Daniela Baumgärtl was born in 1984 in Ger­many as a work­ing class kid and is a writer for TV series and fea­ture films. She has worked for Net­flix, Sky, Dis­ney+, ARD, ZDF, ORF and many oth­ers. Her latest fea­ture film Wel­come Home, Baby was the open­ing of Ber­linale Pan­or­ama 2025. 

Daniela stud­ied screen­writ­ing at the film school HFF Kon­rad Wolf in Pots­dam-Babels­berg from 2007 to 2012. She is hold­er of artists-in-res­id­ence-schol­ar­ships from „Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf“, „Künstlerhaus Lukas“ Ahren­shoop or the “Cen­ter for Balt­ic Writers and Trans­lat­ors” in Sweden. Since 2022, she is teach­ing series writ­ing at the Eureka Series writers cam­pus by Series Mania in Lille.  

Daniela is liv­ing in Ber­lin, Ger­many.
