Naomi Levari

Naomi Levari is a Ger­man-Amer­ic­an-Israeli pro­du­cer and devel­op­ment exec­ut­ive. Since co-found­ing Black Sheep Film Pro­duc­tions in 2010, she has helped estab­lish the com­pany as a lead­ing force in high-qual­ity tele­vi­sion and film, known for its com­mit­ment to char­ac­ter-led storytelling and for push­ing the bound­ar­ies of dra­mat­ic form.

Black Sheep’s pro­jects have premiered at major inter­na­tion­al fest­ivals, includ­ing Cannes, Ber­linale, Venice, Series Mania, and Toronto, and have received over 100 awards, among them two Tele­vi­sion Academy Awards for Best Series.

In 2018, Naomi co-foun­ded Elec­tric Sheep GmbH, a Ber­lin-based sis­ter com­pany whose debut pro­ject premiered at the Venice Film Fest­iv­al, won the Pro­du­cers Award at the Ham­burg Film Fest­iv­al, and was Slovakia’s offi­cial sub­mis­sion for the Academy Awards.

Along­side her pro­du­cing work, Naomi is a sought-after script edit­or, ment­or, and con­sult­ant. Her approach to devel­op­ment emphas­izes long-term col­lab­or­a­tion with cre­at­ors, close atten­tion to char­ac­ter arcs, and the trans­la­tion of cre­at­ive vis­ion into viable pro­duc­tion pro­cesses. Her exper­i­ence includes work with insti­tu­tions and industry plat­forms such as Ber­linale Script Sta­tion, First Cut Lab, Ber­linale Co-Pro­duc­tion Mar­ket, Full Circle Lab Phil­ip­pines, Canal+ Poland, Sam Spiegel Inter­na­tion­al Script Lab, Lodz Film School, and Tatino Films & Net­flix Grow Creative.
