Serial Eyes #13 recently left the bustle of Berlin behind and headed to Brandenburg for a dedicated writers’ retreat — an important moment in the programme that allows participants to step away from the pace of the city and focus fully on their creative work.
Surrounded by lakes, forests, and open landscapes, the participants immersed themselves in developing their Industry Projects. Working in small groups, they refined their concepts, strengthened character arcs, sharpened dramatic structure, and clarified the tone and vision of their stories.
The retreat is a key milestone in the Serial Eyes journey. Taking time away from everyday routines creates the mental space needed to reset, reflect, and make bold creative decisions. Through honest feedback and intensive collaboration, each project was challenged, strengthened, and pushed further in its development.
Next to the focused writing sessions, the retreat also offered time for long walks in nature, shared meals, and conversations — moments that help build the strong ensemble spirit that defines Serial Eyes.
With fresh perspectives and renewed energy, the participants now return to Berlin ready to continue shaping their projects in the months ahead.
