With its 12th season kicking-off, Serial Eyes has added a major new partner to its family: the ZDF, one of the main German public-service television broadcaster, will support the program for two years, joining a roster of long-established industry partners.
“ZDF has established itself as a key player in the European series market through its international co-productions. Our continuous expansion of our portfolio in recent years, such as our involvement in the European Alliance or New8, has led to exciting and successful new projects. ZDF has a strong interest in fostering a vibrant creative scene and building networks with potential partners in this area as well. The Serial Eyes program has impressed us with its approach and exceptional quality over the years. We look forward to actively contributing as a partner in the future.” – Jasmin Maeda, Head of ZDF’s International Fiction Division
In addition to ZDF, Serial Eyes is also supported by Constantin Television, The Walt Disney Company Germany, Audible, Mediawan, Atlantique Productions, Dynamic Television, Real Film, and Big Light Productions. Together, they aim to nurture the next generation of European series writers and transform the series landscape and existing industry structures through writers trained in collaborative work and the writers’ room environment. These industry partners provide vital personal connections to the business and assist participants in developing their projects.
